Former Lt. General Balananda Sharma set to become Foreign Minister

Former Lieutenant General of Nepali Army Balananda Sharma is set to become the Minister for Foreign Affairs in the interim government led by Prime Minister Sushila Karki.

According to a source at the Prime Minister's Secretariat, Sharma is taking the oath of office and secrecy as the Foreign Minister at 2:30 pm today.

With Sharma's appointment, the number of ministers in the Karki cabinet has reached 15.

Prime Minister Karki stills holds Defense Ministry and the Ministry of Water Supply.
