Nepali Communist Party Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' and Co-Coordinator Madhav Kumar Nepal have taken the oath of office and secrecy.
Senior member Nanda Kumar Prasai administered the oath to them at a swearing-in ceremony held at Paris Danda on Tuesday.
After that, NCP Coordinator Prachanda administered the oath to 2,499 central members.
Nepali Communist Party was formed through the unity of the then CPN (Maoist Center), CPN (Unified Socialist Party) and other parties.
The CPN's jumbo central committee was formed after all the central members in the party were given the same position in the party.
However, Co-Coordinator Nepal said that although the party's central committee is currently large, it will be made smaller within a year.
According to him, the leadership will be selected on the basis of competition within the next one year.
