Voting underway for 17 NA seats across 7 provinces (photos)

Madhesh Province, Janakpur.

Voting to elect 17 members of the National Assembly is underway across all seven provinces today. The voting which  kicked off from 9 am will continue until 3:00 pm, according to the Election Commission, Nepal.

The election comes as the terms of 19 National Assembly members are set to expire on March 4.

Bagmati Province, Hetauda.

Of them, 17 seats are being contested in today's polls. One member will be nominated by the President while the other has already been elected unopposed (Sunil Bahadur Thapa, representing the Khas-Arya category from Koshi Province).

The Commission has established designated polling stations in each province to facilitate the voting process for provincial assembly members and local level representatives.
