Vice President of the Nepali Congress, Bishwa Prakash Sharma, has said NC President Gagan Kumar Thapa is ready to lead the country.

During a constituency 1 gathering of the party in Jhapa district on Sunday, Vice President Sharma argued the NC had projected President Thapa as the prime minister due to his vision.

"President Gagan Thapa's contribution, culture and vision are incomparable to propel democratic movement in Nepal," he said, adding that the electoral campaign was launched in this very line. Recent special general convention of the party ended ill practice of division and groups, he said.

Sharma ruled out the rumor of 60-40 sharing in the party, and claimed the party was engrossed in election in a united manner.

It is the first time leader Sharma arrived in his home town after he was elected the Vice President of the party.
