The Nepali national cricket team, which has already been eliminated from the group stage of the ICC Men's T-20 World Cup, is taking on Scotland today.
The final match of the group stage will begin at 7:15 pm at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Nepal was defeated by England by 4 runs in the first match. It suffered a 10-wicket defeat at the hands of Italy in the second match and a 9-wicket defeat to the West Indies in the third match.
Scotland has also been eliminated from the Super 8 race before playing against Nepal. After England defeated Italy by 24 runs in the match held on Monday afternoon to reach the Super 8, Scotland's chances to advance into the further journey has also ended.
Scotland, which lost to the West Indies by 35 runs in the first match, defeated Italy by 73 runs in the second match. It suffered a 5-wicket defeat to England in the third match of the group stage.
While West Indies and England qualified for the Super 8 from the group stage, Scotland, Italy and Nepal have been eliminated from the group stage.
Canada and New Zealand will face each other from Group D of the World Cup today. Similarly, Zimbabwe and Ireland are scheduled to play in Group B.
So far, five teams have reached the Super 8 in the World Cup underway in Sri Lanka and India. Three spots remain up for grabs as the field narrows down. Now, one team each from Groups A, B and D is in the race for the Super 8.
As the group stage continues, India from Group A, Sri Lanka from Group B and South Africa from Group D have reached the Super 8.
