Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Mayor Balen Shah is on vacation in Indonesia.
Mayor Shah left for Bali, Indonesia, with his family on Tuesday evening.
Shah's private secretary Bhupadev Shah informed that he is scheduled to return home on January 9.
"He has gone to Indonesia for a vacation with his family," said Mayor Shah's personal secretary.
The mayor has taken leave from KMC for the vacation.
This is Mayor Shah's first visit, though informal, outside country after being elected KMC mayor.
Shah's wife Sabina Kafle has accompanied the mayor to Bali.
Bali in Indonesia has been a major tourist destination for Nepalis.
