Janakpur Royals reached the play-off of the Nepal T20 League by defeating Pokhara Avengers.
In a match held at TU Cricket Ground on Thursday morning, Janakpur defeated Pokhara by six wickets to book berth in the play off. Janakpur have 12 points from six wins and three loses out of nine matches.
Chasing the 69-run target set by Pokhara, Janakpur reached it in nine overs losing four wickets.
Sharafuddin Ashraf topped the score with 37 runs including three fours and three sixes off 27 balls. Similarly, Trevon Griffith made 17 runs while Pawan Sarraf contributed 4 runs.
In reply, Kushal Malla grbbed three wickets and Asitha Fernando claimed one wicket.
Earlier, invited to bat first after losing the toss, Pokhara notched up 68 runs in 12 overs losing all the wickets.
Siddhant Lohani made 17 runs followed by Aasif Sheikh and Kushal Malla with 16 runs each. The other batsmen could not reach the double-digit runs.
Sompal Kami grabbed the highest 3 wickets while Lalit Rajbanshi and Sharafuddin Ashraf claimed two wickets each to restrict the opponent to paltry 68 runs.
