Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has won the election in 123 constituencies so far in the ongoing vote count for the March 5's election to the House of Representatives.
As per the result updated at 10:00 pm, RSP candidates are maintaining their lead in two constituencies, according to the Election Commission. Out of the results of 160 constituencies published so far, Nepali Congress (NC) has won 17 constituencies and is maintaining its lead in one constituency.
Similarly, CPN (UML) has won eight seats and is leading in 1 constituency. The EC reported that seven candidates of the Nepali Communist Party have won the election so far.
Likewise, the Shram Sanskriti Party has emerged victorious in three constituencies while Rastriya Prajatantra party and an independent candidate secured victory in one constituency each.
Under the proportional representation (PR) system, vote counting has crossed over 2.89 million till 10:00 pm, according to the Commission. Out of 5,905,595 votes counted so far, the RSP is leading with 2, 895, 493 votes. Nepali Congress follows with 971,656 votes.
CPN (UML) has received 939,739 votes while Nepali Communist Party got 405, 732 votes, Rastriya Prajatantra Party 208, 591 votes and Shram Sanskriti Party 158,625 votes.
