Dol Prasad (DP) Aryal, a member of the House of Representatives, who is also the Vice President of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has filed his candidacy for the post of Speaker on Friday.
The election for the post of Speaker is being held on April 5.
On Thursday, in the meeting of the RSP parliamentary party, President Rabi Lamichhane had proposed Aryal's name for the post of Speaker, which was unanimously approved.
Aryal is an elected MP from Kathmandu Constituency 9 in the House of Representatives election held on March 5.
