21 Nepalis injured in war-torn Gulf countries so far

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reported that 21 Nepalis have sustained injuries in the ongoing war in the Middle East so far.

Speaking at a press briefing held at the ministry on Friday, Spokesperson Lok Bahadur Chhetri informed about the situation in the Middle East. According to him, one Nepali has died and 21 others have sustained injuries in the ongoing attacks in the Middle East so far.

He informed that 86,420 people have registered their details with the Department of Consular Services to collect details of Nepalis stranded in the war-torn countries seeking rescue.

"Currently, the number of people stranded in the war-torn Gulf countries that they are unsafe is gradually decreasing. All Nepali citizens trapped in transit have been rescued," he said.

Similarly, he said that all Nepali citizens trapped in transit have been managed and two Nepalis in Kuwait have received Saudi visas. Chhetri informed that they are staying in Kuwait for the time being of their own free will.

"Although the Saudi visas of the two people in Kuwait have been approved, they are staying in Kuwait of their own free will," he said.

He said that the number of people contacting the ministry and informing them that they are unsafe has been gradually decreasing recently.
