ICC WC League 2: Nepal sets a 290-run target for UAE

Riding on a brilliant century by Vice-captain Dipendra Singh Airee, Nepal has posted 289 runs in 50 overs against the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Airee belted 100 runs in 94 balls including 13 fours and 1 six.

In the match underway at the TU International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur, under the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2, Nepal chose to bat first after winning the toss, and made a good outcome of the decision posting a victory target of 290 runs at the loss of 7 wickets.

Opening batsman Binod Bhandari was the second top scorer with a half century, 56 runs in 79 balls. Gulshan Jha (44 in 38 balls) and Captain Rohit Paudel (39 in 48 balls) were other significant contributors to the Nepali total.

For the bowling side, Junaid Siddique and Ajay Kumar took 2 wickets each.
