Nepali Congress (NC) has officially opened applications for new active membership, allowing eligible Nepali citizens both at home and abroad to apply. The decision was taken during a meeting of the party’s Active Membership Management Central Committee on Monday, chaired by the committee's coordinator and NC General Secretary, Pradip Paudel.
According to Krishna Prasad Dulal, the Acting Chief Secretary of Nepali Congress, the party has modernized the recruitment drive by introducing an online application process to make registration seamless and accessible.
Eligible citizens can now submit their applications directly through the party's official website. In an official statement, the party outlined the criteria for prospective members, emphasizing adherence to the country's legal and political frameworks.
"Any eligible Nepali citizen residing within the country or abroad, who is committed to fully abiding by the Constitution of Nepal, Nepali Congress statute, party regulations, and party discipline, can fill out the active membership application forms through the party's website," reads the statement.
This digital push is expected to significantly boost the party's membership base by engaging younger demographics and the vast Nepali diaspora ahead of the 15th General Convention of the party.
