Kin of Prem Prasad Acharya who self-immolated in front of federal parliament building in New Baneshwor on Tuesday have gathered at Kirtipur Burn Hospital.

Even though they reached the hospital this morning, they have not received the body of Acharya demanding that the state should address his death.

Talking to Nepalkhbar, Basanta Bhattarai, the maternal uncle of Acharya, said the government has not responded to Acharya's death.

“We will wait until 2 pm today.  If we do not receive any responses by the time, we will take away the body,” Bhattarai told Nepalkhabar.

Police and the hospital administration are urging the kin of the deceased to receive the body as soon as possible. However, the family members and the relatives have not received the body for the government’s failure to address the Acharya’s death.

Minister of State for Health Dr Toshima Karki had visited Kirtipur Burn Hospital to take stock of the health condition of Acharya on Monday evening.

During the Karki’s visit, Acharya had urged her to send Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ to visit him.
