The eight-party alliance has organized an orientation program for the lawmakers of the House of Representatives and National Assembly targeting the upcoming presidential elections.
The orientation was conducted for the lawmakers of Nepali Congress, CPN (Maoist Center), Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP), CPN (Unified Socialist), Loktantrik Samajbadi Party (LSP), Janamat Party, Rastriya Janamorcha and Nagarik Unmukti Party at 1 pm at Royal Banquet in Tinkune.
Top leaders of the eight parties addressed the program, urging the lawmakers to vote for Ram Chandra Poudel, the common candidate of the alliance for the President.
NC leader Poudel has filed his candidacy for the post of the president. The election is being held on March 9.
