A writ petition against Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ regarding the decade-long conflict-era case has been registered in the Supreme Court on Tuesday.

The Supreme Court administration registered the writ against Prachanda. Following the registration of the writ, the Supreme Court has scheduled the case for hearing on Thursday.

The writ was registered in the Supreme Court immediately after the meeting of the Maoist leaders, who were involved in the then 10-year Maoist insurgency, took place this morning.

The Supreme Court ordered the registration of the writ filed by Aran on last Friday.

After being tipped off about the news that the writ is being registered, all the leaders of the then Maoist leaders have gathered together.

The bench of Supreme Court Justices Ishwor Prasad Khatiwada and Hari Prasad Phuyal ordered the registration of a writ against Prachanda over his statement that he would take responsibility for 5,000 people killed during the conflict.

In line with the same order, a writ was registered in the Supreme Court on Monday.

The court ordered the arrest of CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Prachanda and the filing of a writ petition seeking investigation.
