Govt urges not to make issue of financial assistance to ex combatants

The government has urged one and all not to make an issue of financial assistance to be provided to former Maoist combatants who had been disqualified by the United Nations Mission to Nepal (UNMIN). 

Political advisor to PM Pushpa Kamal Dahal Haribol Gajurel told Nepal Television that the decision to provide 200 thousand Rs to the disqualified former combatants is not new. 

Gajurel said the provision brought in the budget for the fiscal year 2016/17 by then finance minister Bishnu Poudel is being implemented now as per Supreme Court order.
