With the arrival of autumn, the weather has improved in the Kathmandu Valley. The sky is blue.

The distant mountains started becoming visible. Mt. Everest, the highest peak in the world, which is only 200 km away from the federal capital city, started becoming visible. The view of the other glaciers is no less impressive.

Various snow chains visible from the Kathmandu Valley attracted the common people living in the valley as well as foreign tourists.

However, Kathmandu's sky has been cloudy for the past few days, partly due to air pollution apparently caused by stubble burning in the southern neighbor India.

The view of the mountains that were earlier visible from the valley gradually faded away with the increase in pollution.

However, amidst the smoke, the outskirts of the Kathmandu Valley are wearing an attractive look of their own.
