The Dcine Awards ceremony organized in the capital on Monday lost its luster after the best actor/actress did not turn up to receive the awards.
Valued as a spectacular event, coming to the 14th edition of the Dcine Awards, it appeared as if its popularity has died down.
Only a few artists were present at the ceremony to receive the awards. Paul Shah and Pooja Sharma who were chosen for the best actor/actress award abstained from receiving the awards. Pooja and Paul won the award for the film “Ma Yasto Geet Gauchhu 2”.
The film's director Sudarshan Thapa received the awards on behalf of both Paul and Pooja. Thapa won the best director award for the film ‘Ma Yasto Geet Gaunchhu 2’. This film has also received the Best Film of the Year. Actor Arjun Shrestha and comedian and director Deepa Shree Niraula were presented with silver cinematographic honors at the awards ceremony held at the Russian Culture Center.Likewise, Film Journalist Kuber Giri was awarded the Cinematography Film Journalism Award.
