The funeral procession for Sita Dahal, the Central Advisor of CPN Maoist Center, has left for Pashupati Aryaghat after paying last tributes at the party central office in Paris Danda.
Preparations for the funeral rites have already started at Aryaghat. With the preparations for the last rites at Aryaghat, hundreds of people have thronged Aryaghat to attend the funeral rites.
Sita passed away at the age of 69 at the Norvic Hospital in Thapathali on Wednesday morning. A troop of Nepali Army will offer a round of salutes for Dahal during the funeral rites at Aryaghat.
The Council of Ministers meeting has decided to perform Sita's last rites with state honors.
