Today's meeting of the National Assembly has passed the Finance Bill, 2080.
During the meeting, Finance Minister Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat presented a proposal to return the Bill, which was received from the House of Representatives with suggestions, to the HoR passing it without any amendment. The NA passed the Finance Minister's proposal with majority.
Although the NA members had presented a proposal of increasing tax on tobacco related products, it was rejected.
