US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Donald Lu has met with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ at Baluwatar on Friday evening.
On the occasion, Lu extended condolences to Prime Minister Dahal and offered floral tribute to the photo of his wife Sita Dahal.
Earlier, he held meetings with Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, Foreign Minister NP Saud and CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli.
In all the meetings with the leaders, he expressed concern about the implementation of the millennium challenge corporation (MCC) grant compact, sources have said.
US dignitary Lu, who arrived in Kathmandu on a one-day visit to Nepal on Friday, will attend a dinner reception at the US embassy before leaving Kathmandu tonight.
