The garbage of the Kathmandu Valley could not be picked up after the residents of Nuwakot did not allow to dump the garbage in Sisdol and Bancharedanda starting July 17.

Residents of Nuwakot's Kakani Rural Municipality and Dhading's Dhunbensi Municipality complained about the stench spreading across their villages due to garbage dumping.

Irate locals have announced a protest to stop garbage disposal in their vicinity from July 17 saying that their demands have not been met.

The trucks loaded with garbage are heading to Kakani under the police escort.
