Bangladeshi citizen held with foreign currencies at TIA

A Bangladeshi citizen has been arrested at the Tribhuvan International Airport with illegal foreign currencies on Monday afternoon.

The police arrested Jahangir Alam, a Bangladeshi citizen, in possession of 10,000 US dollars and 49,000 Bangladeshi Taka while he was about to board a flight of Bangladesh Airlines bound for Bangladesh.

According to the police, the foreign currency was found in his bag during security check at the check-in-point of the airport.

He has been sent to the Department of Revenue Investigation for necessary investigation and action, the police said.
