Former Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai and Chairman of Nepal Samajbadi Party has given statements on the Lalita Niwas land scam to the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of the Nepal Police.
Posting a Facebook message on Monday morning, Dr Bhattarai informed to have given statements to the CIB on the then cabinet decisions on the Lalita Niwas land scam.
“I have fulfilled my duties by giving statements to the CIB on the cabinet decisions on the Lalita Niwas land scam taken during my premiership,” writes Bhattarai, “I wish this case would be settled marking the beginning of good governance, ending all the corruptions and irregularities in the country.”
Former Prime Minister Bhattarai has given statements at a time when there have been criticisms that the CIB is taking statements from only less powerful people, becoming soft on former Prime Ministers Baburam Bhattarai and Madhav Kumar Nepal.
