PM Dahal holds sideline meeting with US President Biden

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, who participated in the United Nations General Assembly, held a sideline meeting with US President Joe Biden.

After the sideline meeting in New York, Prachanda's secretariat has unveiled a group photo between them.

In the photo, Jill Tracy Jacobs Biden is seen as the American First Lady. Prachanda's daughter Ganga Dahal is seen in the photo as the first lady from Nepal.

Prachanda addressed the United Nations General Assembly on behalf of Nepal on Friday. In his address to the 78th session of the UNGA, Prachanda said that the peace process of Nepal is now coming to a conclusion.

Prachanda also addressed the United Nations as the chairman of the least developed countries (LDCs) and also held sideline talks with his counterparts from different countries when he was in the United Nations General Assembly.

Prachanda is going to visit China directly from New York on Friday. He is scheduled to stay there for a week.

Prachanda is scheduled to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping in Hangzhou, China and participate in the opening ceremony of the 19th Asian Games.

After meeting Xi in Hangzhou, Prachanda will leave for Beijing, the capital of China. In Beijing, he is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with his Chinese counterpart Li Qiang and the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, Zhao Leji. He will also address the China-Nepal Investment Summit jointly organized by CCPIT and FNCCI and Nepali Embassy in Beijing. 

According to the ministry, apart from Beijing, Prachanda will also visit Chongqing City and Lhasa in Tibet. He will observe the development and progress of Chongqing Metropolis in the fields of agriculture and industry.

He will arrive in Kathmandu from Lhasa on September 30.
