Nepal and China have reached a 13-point Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on various issues including electricity, highways, and agriculture in Beijing.
The historic MoU was signed at the Great Hall of the People in the presence of Prime Minister of Nepal Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' and Prime Minister of China Li Qiang on Monday morning, the Prime Minister's Secretariat told Nepalkhabar.
Prior to holding the meeting with his Chinese counterpart Li Qiang, Prachanda, who is on an official visit to China, was offered the guard of honor.
Prime Minister Li will host a luncheon in honor of Prime Minister Prachanda. Prime Minister Dahal is scheduled to visit the Huawei Beijing Research Center at 2 pm today.
Earlier in the morning, Prime Minister Prachanda visited Tiananmen Square where he offered floral tributes at the Mao Memorial Hall before holding a bilateral meeting with Zhao Leji, the chairman of National People's Congress.
Prachanda, who landed in Hangzhou on September 23 to participate in the 19th Asian Games, held a bilateral meeting wiht Chinese President Xi Jinping.
On September 26, he is scheduled to visit Chongqing -- the fourth largest city situated at the confluence of the Yangtze and Jialing rivers in southwestern China.
Similarly, he will visit Lhasa on September 27 before wrapping up his week-long China visit on September 30.
