New energy instilled in Nepal-China ties: Chinese PM Li Qiang

Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang has said (that) Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’s China visit has instilled new energy in the bilateral relations between the two countries.

Li Qiang said so while delivering a welcome speech before the start of bilateral talks with Prime Minister Dahal, who is on a week-long visit to China.

Prime Minister Qiang expressed his belief that Nepal's Prime Minister Prachanda's visit to China will help further bolster bilateral relations.

He said that it was pleasant to discuss various aspects of the relationship between the two countries during the meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping.

Stating that China, as a neighbor of Nepal for centuries, always wants the development, prosperity and welfare of Nepal, Prime Minister Qiang lauded Prime Minister Dahal for his contribution to making China-Nepal relations more harmonious.

Bilateral meetings are currently underway at the Great Hall of the People's Congress in Beijing.
