Ten Nepalis have lost their lives in the deadly attack carried out by the Palestinian militant group Hamas on Israel.
Arjun Ghimire, the first secretary of the Nepali Embassy in Israel, told Nepalkhabar that 10 Nepalis have lost their lives so far in the attack that started on Saturday morning.
Students who had gone to Israel from Sudurpaschim University on a learn-and-earn program came under attack on Saturday. Of the 17 students, 10 were killed at Kibbutz in south Israel.
Two of the students in the same farm are unharmed, four others are undergoing treatment at a local hospital while one is out of contact, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
The deceased include Narayan Prasad Neupane of Ghodaghodi-4 (Kailali), Ganesh Kumar Nepali of Jaya Prithvi-6 (Bajhang), Ashish Chaudhary of Baunia-3 (Kailali), Dipesh Raj Bista of Lekam-5 (Darchula), Anand Sah of Saphi-6 (Dhanusha), Rajesh Kumar Swarnakar of Madhuban-1 (Sunsari), Rajan Phulara of Pachanali-3 (Doti), Padam Thapa of Lamikhal-8 (Doti), Prabesh Bhandari of Sharada-3 (Salyan), Lokendra Singh Dhami of Malikarjun-4 (Darchula).
Similarly, Pramod KC of Tribeni-1 (Salyan) and Birendra Chaudhary of Bhajani Trishakti-4 (Kailali) are safe.
Likewise, Bidhan Sejuwal of Sharada-2 (Salyan), Prabin Dangi of Dangisaran-3 (Dang), Dhan Bahadur Chaudhary of Tikapur-9 (Kailali) and Himachal Kattel of Gorkha-8 (Gorkha) are injured. According to the embassy, they are receiving treatment at the hospital.
Bipin Joshi of Bhimdatta-3 (Kanchanpur) is said to be out of contact.
They are students of the eighth semester of the Faculty of Agriculture of the Sudurpaschim University, who had gone to Israel's Sedot Negev Agriculture Training Center for the 11-month "Earn and Learn Program" on September 4 and 5.
The situation has become perilous due to the ongoing fighting between the Palestinian militant group Hamas and the Israeli army.
