Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) member of parliament (MP) Shishir Khanal has questioned the competence of Nepali Ambassador to war-torn Israel, Kanta Rijal.
Speaking at the meeting of the International Relations and Tourism Committee on Tuesday, Khanal questioned on the competence of the embassy and the Nepali Ambassador to Israel.
He further said that people have lost their faith in the government because it did not take the necessary steps on time.
The efficiency of a person is tested in times of crisis and the government should be more proactive when it comes to prioritizing things in the event of crisis.
"I had a direct conversation with the Nepali students in the bunker in Israel. We are communicating only in the form of a press release from the ministry. It has sent a message to the common people that the government is useless. We should select competent ambassador for the war-torn countries,'' he said.
Kanta Rijal is incumbent Nepali Ambassador to Israel. She was appointed on June 26, 2022.
