Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached the encroached Nepali land Kalapani area on Thursday morning.
Modi has reached Kalapani region, an encroached Nepali land, to visit Mt Kailash. However, the Indian side has not given any official information to Nepal about it.
Chief District Officer of Darchula Kiran Joshi said that India has not given any official information about Prime Minister Modi's visit to this place.
Modi landed at Jolingkong on a helicopter in the encroached Nepali land Kuti at 8:30 am. Modi will offer prayers at Jolingkong and visit Mt Kailash.
After Kailash visit, the Indian media has mentioned that there is a program to discuss with locals with Nepali encroached land included in the revised map of Nepal (pointed map).
There is a program of general discussions with Indian villagers of Kuti, Navi, Gunji villages and Indian villages of Rongkang, Napalchyu, Gabryang, encroached by India.
Modi is also scheduled to meet and hold discussions with officials of the Indian Army, Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and other security agencies deployed in the Kalapani region.
According to Indian media outlets, at 12 noon, Modi is scheduled to visit Jageshwar Dham in Almora district and offer prayers.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is also in Kalapani region with Prime Minister Modi, according to the news report.
India has deployed a large number of military and security forces in the encroached Nepal's territories of Limpiyadhura, Lipulekh and Kalapani. Without Nepal's permission, India is building infrastructure such as roads, bunkers, and barracks under strategic plans in that area.
The shortest route from India's capital New Delhi to Tibet's Manasarovar lies in this area.
