Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Chen Song on Tuesday attended the opening ceremony of South Asia International Book Fair 2023 held in Kathmandu.
Taking to Twitter, Ambassador Chen, who attended the Book Fair along with Prime Minister of Nepal Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', said, "Books have the power to foster cultural exchanges. Thanks to the support of China International Communications Group and Nepali publishers, more books introduce China's development and culture to Nepal. Please enjoy the pleasure of reading!"
The South Asia International Book Fair 2023 started at Bhrikuti Mandap in Kathmandu yesterday with the display of assorted books written by renowned writers including Chinese President Xi Jinping among others. The five-day-long event will continue till November 25.
Aimed at fostering cultural exchanges and introducing China's culture and development, the event could be captivating for book enthusiasts and literary connoisseurs, said the organizer.
China International Communications Group and Nepali publishers are the organizers of the book fair.
