Maoist Center secures HoR seat in Rukum East

CPN (Maoist Center) candidate Purna Bahadur Gharti.

Purna Bahadur Gharti, the CPN (Maoist Center) candidate for the House of Representatives (HoR), has won elections in Rukum East.

According to the latest election results unveiled by the Election Commission (EC), Ghartimagar secured 12,262 votes.

He is also the former Speaker of Lumbini Province Assembly.

CPN-UML's Keshav Kumar Malla, who was defeated by him, polled 5,211 votes.
