Janamat Party Chairman Dr. Chandrakant Raut alias CK Raut has won as a member of the House of Representatives from Saptari.
Raut was elected from Saptari constituency number-2 with a huge margin of votes.
Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) Chairman and former Deputy Prime Minister Upendra Yadav lost to Raut by a margin of 18,063 votes.
While Raut got 35, 042 votes, his closest rival Yadav got 16,979 votes.
From the same constituency, the candidate of the five-party alliance, Jayaprakash Thakur of the Loktantrik Samajbadi Party (LSP) has secured 7,347 votes.
