CPN (Unified Socialist) candidate Rajendra Kumar Rai of Province-1 has been re-elected as a member of the Province Assembly from Bhojpur.
Rai, who is also the Chief Minister of Province 1 and Secretary of CPN (Unified Socialist), defeated his nearest competitor Hari Bahadur Rai of CPN-UML by 3,877 votes.
Rai, who contested the elections from the democratic-left alliance in Bhojpur, got 16,110 votes. UML's Hari Bahadur Rai polled 12,223.
