Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa has said that the government has to remove the prohibitory order imposed in and around Maitighar Mandala.

Expressing his views in the meeting of the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee under the House of Representatives on Monday, General Secretary Thapa urged Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs to immediately remove injunction from Maitighar Mandala.

“Maitighar Mandala is the very place from where people get their voices heard by the government. That is why the government should not impose injunction in this place,” said Thapa.

He further said that two youths lost their lives at Balkumari in Lalitpur due to the negligence of Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Prakash Jwala.
