NC, Maoist Center discuss NA elections

Ruling partners Nepali Congress and CPN (Maoist Center) today held a meeting to discuss the upcoming National Assembly (NA) elections scheduled for January 25. 

In the meeting held at the Prime Minister's official residence in Baluwatar, Prime Minister and Maoist Center Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', NC President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, among others, discussed the NA elections, according to NC Chief Whip Ramesh Lekhak.  

Lekhak said the parties will be sitting for a meeting with other political parties over the upper house elections.

NC Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister Purna Bahadur Khadka, General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa and Chief Whip Lekhak accompanied Deuba in the meeting.  On behalf of the Maoist Center, Senior Vice Chair and Deputy Prime Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha was also present.
