Dr Krishna Bhakta Gadtaula, a central executive committee member of the Tehrathum Sarokar Samaj, has been bereaved of his mother.
Menaka Gadtaula, the mother of Krishna Bhakta, originally from Piple, Tehrathum, currently residing in Kathmandu, passed away in a road accident that occurred at Lalgadh in Dhanusha district on Thursday night. She was 73.
According to a press note issued by the Samaj, the accident occurred at 10:15 pm yesterday when the vehicle carrying passengers including Menaka was heading to Kathmandu from Itahari, Sunsari.
Expressing deep sorrow over the untimely demise of Menaka Gadtaula, the Samaj has wished peace to the departed soul and called upon the almighty god to provide grieving family members the strength to overcome this tragic moment.
The funeral rites for the deceased, Menaka, is being performed at Pashupati Aryaghat at 8 pm today, according to the notice.
Menaka is survived by her husband, one son and three daughters.
