The temperature in the Kathmandu Valley has gone down to 2.5 degrees Celsius on Saturday morning, the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology said.
This is the lowest temperature of the year so far. It was recorded at 8:45 am today.
Earlier, it was recorded 2.9 degrees at 5:45 am.
"This is the lowest temperature of the year so far," said Ganga Nagarkoti, a meteorologist at the Meteorological Forecasting Division. It was recorded 3 degrees Celsius on Friday.
The temperature is on a decreasing trend across the country, of late, meteorologists have said.
According to Nagarkoti, today's maximum temperature will range between 16 to 18 degrees Celsius.
On Friday, the maximum temperature was 17.5 degrees Celsius.
The weather in the Kathmandu Valley will be partly cloudy to generally fair today, said Nagarkoti.
