The lowest temperature of this year so far has been recorded on Sunday morning.
According to meteorologist Govinda Jha, the minimum temperature of Kathmandu Valley was observed at 2.2 degrees Celsius when measured at 5:45 am today.
"This temperature is the lowest this year for the valley so far," he said.
Earlier on Saturday, the minimum temperature in Kathmandu Valley had dropped to 2.5 degrees. Today it has gone even lower than that.
Today's official minimum temperature is recorded at 8:45 am. At that time, the temperature is likely to drop further.
Meteorologist Jha said that the maximum temperature of the valley will range between 15 and 17 degrees Celsius today.
On Saturday, the maximum temperature here was recorded at 16.5 degrees Celsius.
The minimum temperature is measured by 8:45 am and the maximum temperature is recorded by 5:45 pm.
There is a light fog in the morning in the Kathmandu Valley and the visibility is 4 km. It will not affect flight services.
According to Meteorologist Jha, although clouds will develop in the sky in the afternoon, there is no possibility of rain, and the weather will be sunny.
Similarly, in the last 24 hours, Jumla had the minimum temperature, which was measured at minus 4.9 degrees Celsius and Jomsom at 4.5 degree Celsius.
