Siddhishwarman Akshalok Sahityik Kendra Pariwar, a literary association, organized a Zoom meeting to commemorate late Bhagawan Man Shrestha on Monday.
People from various walks of life who knew him very closely remembered Shrestha as a good human being with a positive attitude who served society through journalism and literatures.
Remembering late Shrestha, Sushma Dahal, the secretary of the Tehrathum Sahitya Pratishthan, said it was Bhagawan Man Shrestha who taught her how to write poetry. Dahal recalled him as a good person who always encouraged people to do good deeds before departing from this world.
Likewise, wishing peace to the departed soul, Dilli Ram Dhungel, the chairman of Tehrathum Sarokar Samaj, expressed commitment to publishing a memoir as a tribute for his contribution to society.
Binjushree Shrestha, the daughter of late Bhagawan Man Shrestha, remembered him as an ideal guardian, kind-hearted, loving father, and a torch-bearer of society.
Similarly, Journalist Keshu Birahi remembered him as a brave human being with a positive attitude, and an ideal guardian who joined RSS in 2022 BS.
Various participants including Bijaya Raj Sigdel, a patron of Aama Ghar, Dr Savitri Shrestha, senior litterateur Prmod Raj Pradhan among others recalled Bhagawan Man Shrestha as a good human being and impartial journalist who disseminated news irrespective of ideology and region.
Chaired by Swajan Swaraj Shakya, the chairman of Siddhishwar Akshalok Sahityik Kendra Pariwar, the commemoration program was emceed by Swarnima Shrestha.
Born in Tehrathum district on Falgun 23, 2003, Shrestha passed away on Paush 19, 2080 BS.
