A member of the Board of Directors of Suryadarshan Savings and Credit Cooperative Limited based in Kaski has been arrested.
Pramod Bhattarai, 30, of Inaruwa Municipality 5, Sunsari, who was absconding after a complaint was lodged against him at the District Police Office Kaski, was arrested by a team of the Valley Crime Investigation Office.
Bhattarai was arrested and taken to Kaski from Gokarneshwar Municipality-4, Makalbari, in Kathmandu on Thursday.
Gitendra Bahadur Rai, alias GB, is absconding after the depositors filed a complaint against the cooperative. With the help of Interpol, the police are also conducting search operations against them abroad.
Arrested Kumar Ramtel and Shiva Bahadur Gurung alias Bhote have been remanded in custody by the court.
