Nepal has made a clean sweep by registering a third win in a row against Canada in the One Day International Series held at TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur on Monday.

Chasing the 233-run target set by Canada, Nepal reached it in in the 44.3 overs losing just one wicket.

Anil Sah performed brilliantly with the highest score of 105 not-out runs studded with 12 fours and two sixes off 124 balls, followed by Bhim Sharki with 101 runs including 11 fours and one six off 122 balls.

Canada failed to restrict Nepal from scoring runs. Dillon Heyliger took only one wicket for Canada.

Kushal Bhurtel contributed 13 runs including three fours.

Earlier, invited to bat first after losing the toss at the TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, Canada notched up 232 runs losing eight wickets in the allotted 50 overs.

Canada’s Navneet Dhaliwal scored a half-century before being caught out by Aakash Chand off the ball delivered by Lalit Rajbanshi, follwed by Nikhil Dutta with 45 runs while captain Saad Bin Zafar hit 31 not-out runs.

Similarly, Harsh Thaker, Shreyas Movva and Srimantha Wijeyeratne contributed 29, 25 and 22 runs, respectively.

On the bowling side, Hemant Dhami took the highest 3 wickets followed by Kushal Malla with 2 wickets. Lalit Rajbanshi and Aakash Chand grabbed one wicket each for Nepal.

This is the third match taking place between the home team Nepal and visiting team Canada. Canada lost all the three matches to Nepal in the ODI bilateral cricket tournaments.

Nepal registered a second win in a row by inflicting a four-wicket defeat on Canada in the second ODI match held on February 10 and defeated the opponent by seven runs in the first match held on February 8.
