Director General at the Department of Immigration, Rudra Singh Tamang, has been suspended over alleged irregularities.
Tamang was suspended after the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Sunday filed a graft case against him at the Special Court.
The Ministry of Home Affairs is making preparations to induct a new Director General at the Department of Immigration following suspension of Tamang. "The DoI should not be left headless. Preparations are being made to induct a new DG in the Department," said an official at the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The anti-graft body on Sunday filed cases against 15 individuals including Director General Tamang and other three companies over alleged irregularities.
