INNJA’s 3-day int’l conference underway in Tokyo

The international conference 2024 of the Internal Network of Nepali Journalists (INNJA) has started in Tokyo, the capital city of Japan on Thursday.

Inaugurating the conference, Nepali Ambassador to Japan Durga Bahadur Subedi expressed his belief that this conference would help further bolster the age-old bilateral ties subsisting between Nepal and Japan.

Ambassador Subedi expressed his appreciation for the exemplary contributions of INNJA in assisting Nepali people in need while urging the organizations to assist INNJA in achieving its goal.

Ambassador Subedi also expressed appreciation for Japan's assistance in Nepal's infrastructure, health, education, electricity, transportation, and communications sectors. He believes this support has strengthened the bilateral relationship at the people-to-people level.

Senior Vice President Bishnu Sheetal, Secretary Deepak Rijal, central member Rita Sapkota of the INNJA headquarters, Tanka Panta of Asia chapter, Vice President Ananda Koirala, NRNA Asia Chapter Vice President Deepak Kandel, Chairman of Japan Money Express Om Gurung, Chairman of Lekhan Kunja Nepal, Kamal Dhakal, among others appreciated INNJA for its role in unifying Nepali journalists living across the world through journalism.

Established in 2018, the headquarters of the INNJA is based in the United States of America. It has established its branches in every continent and has been helping journalists with their problems across the globe.

The INNJA had provided fellowship to 100 journalists in Nepal during the COVID-19.

INNJA central members Dhruva Paudel, Binesh Khanal, Asia chapter members Bhagawati Timilsina, Krishna Paudel, Srijana Dhakal and Kajiram Piya are participating in the three-day conference.
