Kosh Hari Niraula has been transferred to the Department of Immigration as the Director General.
Earlier, Niraula was at the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The post was lying vacant after sitting DG Rudra Singh Tamang was suspended over a corruption scandal.
Tamang was suspended after the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) lodged a case against him for his alleged involvement in the corruption while he was the member of the Melamchi Water Supply Development Board.
