Five individuals have died and two others sustained injuries in a tractor accident that occurred at Nandegada in Mellekh Rural Municipality-7 of Achham district.
The accident took place when a tractor, Sudurpaschim Province 0100 Ta 4979, heading to Sanphebagar from Mellekh met with an accident along the rural road section near Suyadi, Nawaraj Upadhyaya, a local, told Nepalkhabar.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Santosh Pathak, the deceased have been identified as fifty-five year-old Ranga Dhami, Prem Dhami, 45, Nar Bahadur Dhami, 37, Kishor Janak Dhami, 15, Janak Dhami, 21. Similarly, the other deceased are Lal Bahadur Dhami, 42, Hansa Dhami, 40 and a toddler whose identity is yet to be ascertained.
All the deceased are from Mellekh Rural Municipality-7, according to police.
The injured have been taken to Bayalpata Hospital for treatment, said the District Police Office, Achham.
