Seven Nepalis killed in India’s Nainital jeep accident (name-list)

Seven Nepali people have died in a jeep accident in Nainital in the Indian State of Uttarakhand. Another Indian national died in the accident, local media outlets have reported.

According to Jagaran, a news portal based in India, the deceased have been identified as 50-year-old Shiva Ram Chaudhary, Ananta Ram Chudhary, 40, Binod Chaudhary, 38, Udaya Ram Chaudhary, 55, Tilak Chaudhary, 45, Gopal, 60 and 45-year-old Dhiraj.

Chhotu Chaudhary and Janak sustained injuries in the accident. The addresses of the deceased and the injured are yet to be established.

The accident took place after an ill-fated jeep carrying Nepali migrant workers veered off and fell some 200 meters down the road on Monday night.

The Nepali people were returning home in the jeep when the accident occurred.

The injured and the deceased have been rescued by the security personnel, the news report said.
