It was almost two months since 25-year-old Govinda Praja, a local of Raksirang Rural Municipality-3, Lawati, Makwanpur, went missing from the village.
Govinda, the second eldest son of Maila Praja of Raksirang-3, went missing in the first week of February, sending every villager abuzz with apprehension and curiosity.
Following Govida’s missing, his parents left no stone unturned to search their son, who was a boozer. However, their effort to find their son went in vain. He was found nowhere.
The villagers were taken by surprise when a dog brought the head of missing Govinda to the village on Tuesday morning.
A local found a stray dog playing with the head of a man this morning. Uttam Waiba, the ward chairman of Raksirang-3, claimed that the head belongs to missing Govinda. Similarly, Govinda’s father Maila also confirmed that the head belong to his son Govinda’s.
The family members and the kin have started searching the remaining body of Govinda after the dog brought his head.
As the search was intensified, the kin discovered the body of Govinda in the Guphadevi Community Forest, an almost one kilometer away from the village, informed ward chairman Waiba.
A police squad led by Deepak Thapa, the in-charge of Area Police Office Manahari, has reached the incident site with a sniffer dog.
Thapa said they are carrying out investigation into the case.
