Two Nepali men have been arrested for allegedly raping a Russian woman in the western Indian state of Goa on Friday, according to media reports.
Acting on a complaint filed by a Russian woman on Thursday, local police arrested the duo, aged 23.
In her complaint filed at Calangute police station in Goa, the Russian woman alleged that the two raped her in her hotel room on Thursday. “The duo worked as helpers at the same hotel in Calangute,” inspector Dattaguru Sawant has been quoted by the Indian media as saying.
The Indian police have communicated to Nepal Embassy in New Delhi regarding the arrest.
