Following a one-on-one meeting between Emir of the State of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', bilateral talks with the delegation have started.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Nepal-Qatar relations as well as regional and international issues are being discussed in the talks underway at Soaltee Hotel in Kathmandu.
Following the talks, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) will be signed between Nepal and Qatar on cooperation in the fields of youth and sports, higher education and scientific research.
Similarly, an MoU on news exchange between Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) and Qatar News Agency, art and culture and foreign affairs between the two countries will be singed, said Amrit Bahadur Rai, the spokesperson at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Prime Minister Dahal will host a luncheon today in honor of the Qatari Emir.
Emir Al Thani arrived on a two-day state visit to Nepal on Tuesday at the invitation of President Ramchandra Paudel.
Emir Al Thani is scheduled to return home today itself.
